Day Petit Doré Adoré Malvasia 2018

Day Petit Doré Adoré Malvasia 2018

Applegate Valley, OR

The 2018 Petit Doré Adoré is sourced entirely from Herb Quady's Eevee's Block estate vineyard in Applegate Valley.  Tart orange peel and lemon oil lead on the nose, with white flowers and golden currant emerging after a few minutes' air. On the palate, persistent but subtle acid carries flavors of green apple, gooseberry, and floral liqueur that culminate in a fine, dusty almond note.

With the brininess of a Muscadet and an exceptional depth of follow through, this Mediterranean-meets-Oregon white sits nicely in its glass next to a white fish in beurre blanc--or some such thing.

Oysters will veritably swim in this salty, sea-air, liquified and blessed by the hands of Brianne Day.  Shuck it. Drink it.

If all you need is a brilliantly quaffable white to pair with a sea breeze, sand in your toes and a sun worn paperback, Le Petit Doré Adorée will over deliver.  Cold pack this chillable with your beach towel and favorite pulpy novel to blow away any oenological expectations and improve any literary ones you might have.

Day Wines partners with several responsible stewards of wine growing regions all over Oregon state--the Rogue River Valley to the Applegate Valley AVA to some of the most celebrated  Willamette Valley vineyards close to their winery in Dundee. Brianne Day makes wine in Dundee, OR in a style and with a passion consistent with someone who has fallen in love with the process of making honest and expressive wines.  She studied at Chemeketa Community College and worked in France, New Zealand and Argentina before becoming a wine-maker herself.

In 2012 Brianne built and opened a facility in Dundee where she hosts up and coming  like minded vignerons who champion natural wine-making through native fermentation and minimal intervention.  Her wines draw influence from her experience abroad and are made from organically Oregon-sourced grapes.
