Domaine des Amiel "A l'Ouest" 2017

Languedoc, FR

$28.00

Domaine des Amiel salutes the West in this dense, fruit driven red blend and while their intended "West" is more a nod to Bordeaux, we like to think Seattle factored in somewhere in their psyche as they put the compass to the bottle.

50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, this is a sturdy wine with the tannic structure and spice you'd want for your next cassoulet night or duck confit and pommes frites.

Domaine des Amiel "A l'Ouest" 2017
The family of Aymeric and Jordan Amiel have been making wine in the idyllic Occitanie town of Montblanc since at least 1490, but the two young brothers have operated the winery independently of the local cooperative for the past decade. Over the generations, the family vineyard has expanded, divided and reconstructed, with most of the vines between 15 and 40 year-old with a well established root system. Farming is certified organic & biodynamic with constant attention to quality and care for the plant and its environment. With natural skill and detail, the Amiel brothers craft superbly expressive wines that exemplify not only their history but their future.
