2019 Radikon IGT Venezia Giulia RS (rosso)

Radikon originates in the town of Oslavia in Friuli near the border with Slovenia. The land has been in the family for generations and now consists of 17 hectares of local grapes including Pinot Grigio, Tocai (Friulano), and Merlot, among others, with some additional vineyards in Slovenia. As one of the most iconic, pioneering estates in natural wine, they are a standard-bearer for traditional Friulian wines, made as they have been since the 1930s and known for their aging potential. No chemicals are ever used in the vineyards.

RS is made from 50% Merlot and 50% Pignolo, macerated in oak vats for 8-14 days, then aged in casks for 18 months before bottling.
