Controvento Limite Acque Sicure
Controvento
Founded in 1978 on 5 hectares of vineyards in Abruzzo just off the Adriatic sea (hence the breezy beach vibes found on the labels of its various cuvees), Enzo took the reins of the vineyard from his father in 2008. He farms biodynamically and works zero-zero in the cellar (nothing added, nothing removed). He works predominantly with Montepulciano but has a healthy mix of other local grapes as well. His wines are always lively and fresh with just the right amount of funk and volatility, perfect beach and picnic companions. Limite Acque Sicure is a blend of red and white grapes, light and fruity with slight vegetal undertones, herbaceous and tart. Perfect when served with a chill.
