ESCODA SANAHUJA Nas del Gegant 2021
Joan Ramon Escoda is certainly on the vanguard of natural winemaking, beginning his own project in 1999 and making wine without the addition of sulfites since 2005. Farming is all biodynamic with a diverse mixture of olive groves, almond trees, vegetable gardens, and space for livestock, as well as the vineyards, across his 10 hectares of property.
Blend of 70% Merlot, 10% Garnatxa Negra, 10% Pinot Noir, and 10% Carinyena from Conca de Barberà, fermented and aged in stainless steel. No added sulfites. Bright and berry-forward with deep earthy minerality, spice, and pepper. Quaffable and complex.
