La Derniere Goutte "Sang Neuf" 2019
After studying under Jean-Claude Lapalu, Cyrille Vuillod made his first vintage in 2012 and is now based in Brouilly where he makes a range of zero-zero Gamays throughout Beaujolais. He makes a more wild and adventurous style than the average Beaujolais, and they are prone to a healthy amount of funkiness. But that’s why we love them! Unfined and unfiltered.
Sang Neuf is aged for 5 months in a concrete egg. It is fresh with bright red fruit and mildly grippy tannins with an ever-present minerality.
