OltreTorrente Bianco Colli Tortonesi 2020

Oltretorrente Bianco is a blend sourced from all the estate’s vineyards from vines planted anywhere between 1959 and 1999, mostly from Cortese, Favorita, and Timorasso grapes, with small amount of Moscato Bianco and Giallo.

Oltretorrente means ‘beyond the stream,’ referring to the vineyards location near the Scrivia, a tributary to the Po river, but has the added meaning of ‘countercurrent.’ Chiara Penati and Michele Conoscente had years of winemaking experience under their belt before starting their own project where vineyard work is done by hand, farming is organic and biodynamic, and cellar work is low-intervention.
