SEBASTIEN BOBINET 2021 Hanami Cabernet Franc
Domaine Bobinet
Sebastien Bobinet and Emiline Calvez are natural winemakers located outside of Saumur in the village of Beaulieu. Developing out of 2 hectares of old-vines inherited from Sebastien’s grandfather, they have expanded to about twice the size, growing local varietals, Cabernet Franc, Cot (aka Malbec), Pineau D’Aunis, and Chenin Blanc. Their vineyards are situated on tuffeau, a soft, white limestone rock, resulting in characteristic acidity.
Hanami is intended as a vin de soif, an unpretentious wine to enjoy now, made from 100% Cabernet Franc. Partially carbonic. Fruit-driven with bright red fruit and fresh floral aromas, with a note of earth, fresh herbs, and green pepper on the finish. Best with a slight chill.
