Stirm Wine Co. 2019 Sonoma Valley Syrah

Ryan Stirm makes straight-forward expressions of site-specific terroir based out of Santa Cruz County. While Riesling-obsessed, he makes room for other bottlings from grapes sourced throughout the Central Coast, always with a direct non-interventionist approach that starts with extensive work in the vineyard.

Syrah from Miers-Kuenster Vineyard in Sonoma County. Fermented in old redwood fermenting tanks. Aged for 6 months in old barrels. Classically bold and aromatic California Syrah, with rose aromas, ripe fruit, silky tannins, and peppery undertones.
